Who will be next years Urban Meyer? Do the Gators have a chance at 3 titles in half a decade? Will the return of the "Awe-Schucks Kid from Tuscola" mean that Tex-ass will win it all?
The all-knowing, all-seeing Vegas oddsmakers have put out their odds for who will win the National Championship in the 2009 season. A couple of their odds make sense, Texas, USC, Oklahoma and The Gators are all up there pretty high. But a couple of these odds don't make any sense at all. Georgia, Miami and LSU are ahead of Bama, are they serious. Bama's returning their entire defense and John Parker Wilson is graduating. Bama might not come within twenty points of a loss all year.
But the biggest disappointment of all is that they think that Michigan has the same chance of winning the National Championship as Oklahoma State and California. Did they watch a Michigan game this year. Who the Hell do they think will QB the Wolverines into a National Championship.

There are so many different things wrong with these odds, I almost have to ask if there legitimate. First off, two glaring odds jump right off the paper at you:
1) Alabama is a 25 to one shot along with Notre Dame, er what? Notre friggin Dame has the same odds at winning the National Championship as the team that was ranked number one throughout most of the year and returns almost every single player on defense, and a crushing amount of talent on offense. Yes- new QB, I get it. But I guarantee that McElroy will be a thousand times better than Parker Wilson. ND was lucky to go 6-6 this year. This just goes to show you that individuals involved in college football, specifically journalism, don't know what the ---- they are talking about. These two teams are basically even odds going into next year because ND had an impressive win over Hawaii and Bama lost to Utah. I have got some news for you, win or lose, both teams were going to return the same team next year. But if ND had lost to Hawaii and Bama had beaten Utah, Bama would be 5 to 1 to win the NC and Notre Dame would be like a zillion to one shot. It just doesn't make any sense.
2) This I cannot believe. Michigan is a 60 to 1 shot at winning the National Championship. What the F*&%$? The real odds are ten million to one that Michigan wins 8 games, let alone a National Championship. Who exactly is going to take the snaps behind center that makes UM a 60 to 1 shot Nick Sheridan, Steven Threet or Tate Forcier?
Do you want the real odds, more importantly, do you want to use these odds to make some cheddar in The Patented Nudge System? See, who says the off-season can't be fun. All right, let's make some cheddar.
